To renew a Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA) certification in New Jersey, you must complete at least 30 hours of continuing education (CE) within the two years before your renewal is due. You must also apply for renewal on a schedule set by the New Jersey Department of Health and pass a criminal background check. If you don't meet the renewal requirements on time, your certificate will become inactive.
